The Episode Signature Retrofit In-Wall Subwoofer Enclosure increases sound performance by adding consistent air volume. The retrofit enclosure is capable of housing a single subwoofer in the wall, or you can also add a second enclosure either vertically or horizontally for the perfect dual subwoofer configuration. Plus, the design allows you to install an architectural subwoofer after the sheetrock is added, while still getting defined air volume. This enclosure has a minimal footprint, so you can easily hide subwoofers anywhere – small or large rooms, theatres, distributed audio, and more.
This Episode Signature Retrofit Enclosure gives a subwoofer a defined air volume for more consistent audio performance. Plus, adding a subwoofer is known to improve a customer’s overall satisfaction with their sound system.
This enclosure is pre-wired for use with an Episode Signature Free Air Subwoofer.
This enclosure has built-in dog ears and provisions for joint fasteners in a sturdy metal-front baffle frame. Vinyl-wrapped MDF enclosure reduces both resonance of the subwoofer and noise transmission to adjacent rooms. The included foam pads also eliminate resonance. Dog ears are included, with the option to screw to studs from the frame. Simply place the subwoofer in the enclosure and engage the dog ears. Be sure to align the dog ear screw with the area marked on the front of the enclosure.
The thin design of this enclosure makes it perfect for under couches or beds. It can be laid flat to hide discreetly under furniture.
The terminal cup on the outside of the enclosure and the internal pigtail wire allow for easy wiring and install of the subwoofer after sheetrock is added.
Magnetic, one-step paintable grille keeps the speaker out of sight for a smooth, minimalistic finish. High-strength neo-magnets around the perimeter hold the grille securely in place, but still allow you to remove it easily when needed. You can also purchase a Thin-Bezel Grille Kit in white or black to bring a uniform look to multiple (2) retrofit enclosures.
This enclosure hides in a standard 2 x 4" stud bay for a flush install that won’t take up valuable space. You can install two back boxes either vertically or horizontally, spanning across two stud bays without needing to cut the stud.
