The Atlona® OmniStream™ 112 is a networked AV encoder with two independent channels of encoding for two HDMI 2.0 sources up to 4K @ 60 Hz and HDR (High Dynamic Range), plus embedded audio and RS-232 or IR control pass-through.
The Atlona® OmniStream™ 112 is a networked AV encoder with two independent channels of encoding for two HDMI 2.0 sources up to 4K @ 60 Hz and HDR (High Dynamic Range), plus embedded audio and RS-232 or IR control pass-through. It is part of the OmniStream Pro Series, designed for high performance, flexible distribution of AV over standard, off-the-shelf Gigabit Ethernet switches in commercial audiovisual applications. The OmniStream 112 is HDCP 2.2 compliant and ideal for the latest Ultra High-Definition and HDR sources. It features advanced high-quality, VC-2 visually lossless video compression technology with user-selectable, video quality optimization engines designed for computer-generated imaging, or motion video content. The Atlona OmniStream 112 achieves extremely low, sub-frame latency when paired with OmniStream AV decoders. This dual-channel encoder is housed in a half-width rack enclosure with front-to-back air flow, and is ideal for high-density, compact installation in a centralized equipment location.
OmniStream delivers the highest quality 4K imagery using SMPTE VC-2 visually lossless compression (SMPTE 2042) with extremely low latency. VC-2 is optimized for video distribution over readily available Gigabit Ethernet infrastructure.
AV over IP technology lets you realize opportunities for interconnecting AV throughout a facility, building, or across an entire corporate or university campus. Standard IP network hardware replaces the need for fixed matrix switching systems that are difficult to scale
OmniStream features selectable AES128 encryption for securing sensitive or protected AV content in government, healthcare, and other environments. OmniStream is also the only AV over IP platform in the industry with SMPTE 2022 forward error correction for ensuring robust performance over large network installations.
Another AV industry first, OmniStream offers features for maximizing uptime with primary and redundant networks and AV streams. The system continuously monitors network and streaming integrity, with automatic failover and recovery in the event of signal loss detection. System redundancy and failover are mainstays with IT systems and best practices.
The OmniStream 112 processes two channels of encoding and decoding in a single, half-width rack enclosure. This enables 12 channels of processing in just 3U of rack space – twice the capability of other systems – while also allowing excellent cost-per-channel value.
