The Episode Signature Preconstruction In-Wall Subwoofer Enclosure delivers predictable and consistent sound performance by providing consistent air volume behind a wall using a sealed back box. The preconstruction enclosure houses either a single or dual subwoofer configuration, and once the sheetrock is installed, the subwoofer blends seamlessly with the wall. The enclosure has a minimal footprint, so you can easily hide subwoofers anywhere – small or large rooms, theatres, distributed audio, and more.

A preconstruction back box gives a subwoofer a defined air volume for an improved and more consistent audio performance, without adding an eyesore to the room. A vinyl-wrapped MDF enclosure reduces resonance of the subwoofer and noise transmission to adjacent rooms, and the included foam pads further eliminate resonance. Plus, adding a subwoofer is known to improve a customer’s overall satisfaction with their sound system.
This enclosure is pre-wired for use with up to two Episode Signature Free Air Subwoofers.
A terminal cup outside the enclosure allows easy wiring of the enclosure to the amplifier before sheetrock, with internal enclosure wiring for the installation of the free air subwoofers after sheetrock. Internal wiring allows you to wire up either a single subwoofer or dual subwoofers in the same enclosure, in parallel. With a single run back to the amplifier, a single subwoofer would result in an 8-ohm load, while a dual subwoofer configuration would result in a 4-ohm load, perfectly suitable for all Episode subwoofer amplifiers.
This enclosure is compatible with all existing 8" Episode grilles, which are available in round, square, bezel, bezel-less, and black options. There is also an option for a single rectangular grille when two subwoofers are installed.
This sub can be hidden in a standard 2 x 4" stud bay and can accommodate sheetrock thicknesses from single 1/2" to dual 5/4" for a flush install that won’t take up valuable space.
Simply mount the front-facing steel flanges to the stud, overlay the sheetrock, and cut using the included drywall flange for guaranteed proper hole size. Once completed, insert the subwoofer with ease. You can install up to two subwoofers in one enclosure.
