The Elite PE-SC-99 raises the curtain on a new world of sound. This receiver with Dolby Atmos will change the way you experience movies and music with as little as one listen. The Elite PE-SC-99 integrates Dolby surround technology and is compatible with 7.2.4ch*, 9.2.2ch*, 7.2.2ch and 5.2.4ch, configurations for Dolby Atmos. It works by adding height to the sonic landscape, creating a true 3D, multi-dimensional space that puts listeners inside the experience. *External amplifier required.
The no-compromise PE-SC-99 is the Elite line’s most powerful receiver this year, thanks to Class D3 amplifiers that deliver unbridled power in a lightweight, cool-running package. Unlike traditional Class AB amplifier designs, which suffer from reduced power output as channels are added, Pioneer’s advanced Class D3 digital circuitry provides identical and consistent high-current power to all of the speakers for a total of 850 watts (8 ohms, 1 kHz @ 1.0% THD), while generating radically less heat and energy loss than traditional Class AB designs for enhanced efficiency.
The next-generation surround sound format, available as a no-cost firmware update, creates an amazing three-dimensional sound field that reproduces the movement of sound in space. It automatically adapts the signal to existing channels and speakers and requires no specific speaker layout.
MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration) Pro takes room calibration to a new level of precision. Further enhancing the three-dimensional realism of the Elite’s Atmos-enabled system as well as all of your other audio sources, MCACC Pro calibrates your room’s sound using a microphone to monitor the acoustic environment and an equalizer to optimize and precision-tune each speaker to the room.
The Elite PE-SC-99 has been certified at London’s legendary AIR Studios, whose work is acknowledged worldwide for award-winning motion picture soundtracks and peerless recording and mastering. Like Pioneer, AIR Studios respects the artist’s intention and believes that faithfully reproducing what was originally created in the studio is the critical objective of the finest home theater system.
With Pioneer's free app, you can use your iPod touch, iPhone or iPad as a remote to control basic functions. The app is also compatible with Android. Enjoy smooth control from your device, with support for 8 languages.
