Perfect for small rooms and hallways where a stereo pair would be aesthetically undesirable, Episode® 500 Series Dual Voice Coil In-Ceiling Speakers are like two speakers in one.
Perfect for small rooms and hallways where a stereo pair would be aesthetically undesirable, Episode® 500 Series Dual Voice Coil In-Ceiling Speakers are like two speakers in one.
Exceptional low-frequency responsiveness is made possible in the 500 series thanks to an injection-molded polypropylene woofer. The high-pressure liquid injection process results in a lighter, stronger material that produces clear detailed bass. This model features dual ½ fabric tweeters that play a stereo signal from a single speaker.
Dual voice coil speakers are designed to allow for stereo sound in a small area using only one speaker. Simply wire for a pair of speakers and install this single unit with each wire pair connecting to separate terminations. Stereo signals are reproduced with good separation thanks to the orientation of the twin tweeter array.
The goal of engineering is to produce a product that is greater than the sum of its parts. Outstanding driver voicing and a specifically engineered 2nd order crossover network ensure precise, responsive performance and separate this product from mass-produced alternatives.
In multi-room audio installations, no two rooms are alike. Floor coverings, drapes, windows and furniture all impact how a speaker sounds in a room. With this dynamic speaker, you can quickly adjust either tweeter's output by 3db to compensate for rooms with more or less sound absorbing materials.
We don't over-engineer Episode® speakers just so that they survive bouncing around in your van. Our build quality also eliminates one of the most common problems in architectural speaker designs—secondary speaker resonance that “colors” the sound and reduces fidelity. All you’ll hear is accurate, detailed sound without the distortion.
This is a dual voice coil (DVC) speaker designed with inputs for both left and right channels. Each input is 8 ohm. If the application calls for using it as a mono speaker for one channel operation, the two inputs can be wired in either parallel or series. The resulting impedance is 4 ohm or 16 ohm.
