Z Custom is Parasound’s line of compact components for high-end audio where space is tight. Equally comfortable on a desk or in a rack, Z Custom products are at home wherever good sound is important. The Zphono XRM is Parasound’s latest phono preamplifier which combines high performance with unprecedented versatility and a price that fills the gap between our popular $200 Zphono and internationally acclaimed $1495 JC 3 Jr. Most phono preamps don’t give buyers what they really want: convenient on-the-fly impedance adjustment for MC cartridges, a switchable rumble filter, a stereo-mono switch and balanced XLR outputs. Many phono preamps use “wall warts” that are inferior to the Zphono XRM’s high-capacity, lownoise, linear power supply. The Zphono XRM is powerful proof of Parasound’s continuing support of the vinyl renaissance.
The Zphono XRM allows users to connect 2 turntables with its dual inputs. There are separate inputs for a Moving Coil and Moving Magnet Phono cartridges.
Choose Balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA outputs. The Balanced output will offer 6dB of extra gain which is great for use with low output cartridges or low efficiency speakers.
The Parasound Zphono XRM makes it easy to access your settings right on the front panel. Select Stereo/Mono Mode, Rumble Filter on /off, as well as a switch to toggle between the MC or MM inputs.
Unique half-rack width chassis (1 rack space high). Optional rack mount kit (ZRK) allows a single unit or two units to be rack mount side by side. Fits in a standard 19" equipment rack (1U). The ZRK rack mount kit must be purchased separately.
