Manual Cut SheetCamera Comparison
Recommended Camera AngleThis dome camera features a gasket that keeps the IR LEDs from reflecting off the dome and into the lens. For this gasket to properly align and seal, and to avoid blocking any IR LEDs – there is a maximum angle of adjustment for the camera within the housing.
Proper Gasket AlignmentDuring installation, confirm that the rubber gasket protrudes from the lens about ¼". This creates a seal around the lens to block IR reflections off the dome from entering the lens. If the gasket is pressed up against the lens during install, you may experience a halo effect during night mode operation with IR LEDs.
Varifocal SettingsThe mechanics of how the zoom operates will allow you to adjust the setting slightly past the limits causing the image to be out of focus. If you experience this during installation, simply move the zoom lever slightly away from the minimum or maximum position, then use the focus lever to bring it into focus. The specs for the camera’s varifocal lens are considered in this setup procedure, therefore there is no loss in the camera’s wide angle or telephoto abilities.
